SpendWise Privacy Policy

SpendWise is a 100% offline app. Your financial data never leaves your device.

What we collect

Nothing. SpendWise has no servers, no user accounts, no analytics and no crash-reporting SDKs. All data you enter — expenses, subscriptions, cards, loans, budgets, accounts and investments — is stored only in the app's private storage on your device. The developer cannot see, access, or recover any of it.

Bank statement import

Statements you import (CSV, PDF, HTML) are parsed entirely on your device. The files are never uploaded anywhere.

Backups

• File exports (JSON/CSV) are written to a location you choose. They are your files; SpendWise keeps no copy.
• Cloud backup (optional, Pro) writes a backup file into a folder you pick in your own Google Drive (or any location). Only your Google account can access it; the developer cannot.
• Android Auto Backup may include the app's data in your device's Google backup, encrypted with your device lock, under your own Google account.

Purchases

The optional SpendWise Pro subscription is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We receive no payment details. Manage or cancel it in Play Store → Subscriptions.

Permissions

• Notifications — local due-date reminders and budget alerts, generated on-device.
• Biometrics — the optional app lock; authentication is handled by Android and never leaves the device.

Data deletion

Use Settings → Danger Zone → “Delete all data”, or simply uninstall the app. Either permanently erases everything on the device.

Children

SpendWise is a general-audience finance tool and is not directed at children under 13.
